Light From Small, Oozing Alien Planet Seen →
THE GIST For the first time, a telescope was able to detect light from an alien super Earth. The Spitzer Space Telescope detected the light from the planet 55 Cancri e. The planet is 41 light-years from Earth and may be in a supercritical fluid state — and oozing.
